Week II To-Do

PRIMARY: This week I'll be re-reading Book 18 of Homer's Iliad focusing more on the trial scene, and the emphasis of the legal process.

For SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIP, I'll be reading the following:

1. 'The Trial Scene in Iliad XVIII' (Walter Leaf)
2. 'The Trial Scene in the Iliad' (Raymond Westbrook)
3. 'Listening to the Shield of Achilles: Sound and Movement in Ancient Ekphrasis' (Darin Peachee)
4. 'The Agony of Homer: What is the Shield of Achilles to Us?' (Jennifer Gagnon)
5. 'The Trial Scene in Homer' (H. Sidwick) 

By the end of the week, I plan to have written another post summarizing the readings, and commenting on what I have found.
